You will have to add a line like the following to your .slrnrc file:
interpret /usr/share/slrn/macros/slrnface.sl
There is also a patch to enable mutt to use slrnface to display X-Face:
Header data. The reason for why this patch is needed is that there is no way
to remove the faces correctly (there is no message_undisplay_hook or such). You
will have to rebuild mutt yourself.
