-------------------
qjackctl is called "JACK control (qjackctl)" in the menu entry, in order to
make it easier to guess what it does.
As Debian does not come with capabilities functionality in the kernel,
the default way to start jack is with jackd. You might want to change
this in the Setup tab of qjackctl.
Another problem that might arise when using jack is, that when it was
started by one user, it can't be used by another user because
jack doesn't delete the files in /dev/shm.
In order to prevent this, you can add a shutdown script to qjackctl
in Setup->Options, which says "rm /dev/shm/jack*".
-
The Debian qjackctl package comes with these default settings, so
deleting the file ".qt/qjackctlrc" should have the same effect and
is faster.
