<h3 class="section">3.2 Robj type</h3>
<p>The new type <code>Robj</code> represents an arbitrary R object. All the
R functions retrieved via the <code>r</code> object (see <a href="R-objects-look-up.html#R-objects-look-up">R objects look up</a>) are of type <code>Robj</code>:

<p>If you use the standard conversion of types, you’ll probably never find
another object of type <code>Robj</code>. However, there are reasons for,
sometimes, manipulating these objects (see <a href="Conversion-system.html#Conversion-system">Conversion system</a>).
