<h3>13.2.2: Plans</h3>
Some plans for future versions are given below. A more extensive
list, together with target timescales and notes on the progress
towards completion, is available in the to-do list at the development
site (<a href="http://gri.sourceforge.net">`<font color="#82140F"><code>http://gri.sourceforge.net</code></font>'</a>), which is also the place to go
if you have suggestions for other changes to Gri.

<h4>13.2.2.1: High Priority</h4>
<ol>
<p>
<li> Add ability to generate SVG (scalable vector graphics) output. This
file type can be edited with GUI-based tools, making it easy for users
to put the final touches on graphs "manually." This feature will
require a great deal of work, mainly to do with grouping of graphical
elements, and so I'll need to rely on advice from users.

<li> Switch to `<font color="#82140F"><code>popt</code></font>' library for the processing of command-line
options. (Docs on this are at
<a href="http://cvs.gnome.org/lxr/source/popt">`<font color="#82140F"><code>http://cvs.gnome.org/lxr/source/popt</code></font>'</a>.)

<li> Change `<font color="#82140F"><code>set axes style</code></font>' from number-based selection to
word-based selection, and print a deprecation warning if the
number-based syntax is used.

<li> Switch from `<font color="#82140F"><code>tmpname</code></font>' to `<font color="#82140F"><code>mkstemp</code></font>' subroutine, for temporary filenames.

<li> Add readline support, to handle history, command-line editing, etc,
for interactive usage
