Translocations spells in existence. It is notoriously difficult to track down
and understand, as copies of the book and their contents have a tendency to
shift between planes at a moment's notice.

immediately end the effect, causing a large amount of magical contamination

While the amulet is effective against most translocations, plane shifts such as
banishment are beyond its ability to block.
