<para><application>&app;</application> is an utility to achieve some basic imposition on PDF
documents, especially designed to work on booklets.</para>

<application>&app;</application> allows:

to reduce a document to put many on one sheet (for tracts for example);

<para>To copy several times the same input page on each output
page. For instance with a one page input document, you may
select<guilabel>Put multiple input pages on one output
page</guilabel> in <guilabel>Conversion type</guilabel> and check
this box to obtain several copies of the input page.</para>

<para>Use this drop-down list to select how to dispose input pages
on each output page. For example, select <guilabel>2x1</guilabel> to
output a simple booklet.</para>

<para>Use this drop-down list to select the paper size of the
output and thus the scaling factor.</para>

<para>Click on the button to open a choose where to save the
converted PDF file.</para>
