<h2>Detailed Description</h2>
<p>Item (and all derived types) provides built in support for states and transitions via its <a href="qml-qtquick-item.html#state-prop">state</a>, <a href="qml-qtquick-item.html#states-prop">states</a> and <a href="qml-qtquick-item.html#transitions-prop">transitions</a> properties. StateGroup provides an easy way to use this support in other (non-Item-derived) types.</p>
