<title>Undo a recent action</title>
<p>If you make a mistake while using <app>gedit</app>, you can undo it by
pressing <keyseq><key>Ctrl</key><key>Z</key></keyseq>, or by clicking
<guiseq><gui style="menu">gedit</gui>
<gui style="menuitem">Undo</gui></guiseq>. Doing so will cause
<app>gedit</app> to undo one set of similar actions.</p>
<note>
<p>Undoing a "set of similar actions" means, for example, that
<app>gedit</app> will remove an entire word rather than removing each
character in the word one at a time. This makes <app>gedit</app>'s
<em>undo</em> feature more efficient.</p>

<p>You cannot undo a change after you have saved it.</p>
