/etc/gallery/apache.conf
------------------------
/etc/gallery/apache.conf contains apache configuration snippets that
with recommended configuration. The default /gallery alias has been
commented out. Uncomment this alias and restart apache to enable the
alias.
/etc/gallery/apache.conf also includes a FilesMatch block that disallows
certain file extensions from being displayed. The default CSS files
(/usr/share/gallery/css/*.css.default) get blocked by this FilesMatch block.

-------------
Gallery is configured through a web-based configurator. Quick steps to

2. Go to your gallery URL with a browser
(e.g. http://www.example.com/gallery/index.php)
3. configure using the web interface and save configuration
4. as root, run /usr/share/gallery/secure.sh
You can now login as the administrator, and add pictures to your website
http://www.example.com/gallery by clicking "login" in the upper right corner.

Username: admin
Password: the-password-you-entered-during-configuration

gallery (you may also want to read the DEBIAN CHANGES section as well).
DEBIAN CHANGES
--------------
The following changes have been made to the upstream gallery source for the
Debian package.
Functional/Layout Changes:
. files symlinked into other portions of the fs for FHS compliance:
gallery/setup -> /var/lib/gallery/setup
gallery/.htaccess -> /etc/gallery/htaccess
gallery/config.php -> /etc/gallery/config.php
. changes to setup.sh and configure.sh to work with debian config scheme
PHP SETUP
---------
The default PHP setup in Debian sets memory_limit to 8 megabytes (8M).
If you work with a relatively large set of images (several hundred or more)
you may need to update the memory_limit in your php.ini.
