<span>Kubuntu</span> offers support for a variety of scanners. To see if a particular

<span>Kubuntu</span> comes installed with the software application
<span class="application">Kooka</span>, KDE scanning and <acronym class="acronym">OCR</acronym>. To

Install the <span class="application">libsane-extras</span> package.

type <strong class="userinput"><code>kdesudo kwrite /etc/sane.d/dll.conf</code></strong> and press the

Locate the correct driver for the scanner and uncomment it by
removing/deleting the <code class="filename">#</code>.
