<span>Kubuntu</span> supports many types of media with a standard installation, including
<acronym class="acronym">USB</acronym> hard drives, <acronym class="acronym">USB</acronym> flash drives,

Most of the time, when attaching media such as a <acronym class="acronym">CD</acronym>,
<acronym class="acronym">DVD</acronym>, external hard drive, <acronym class="acronym">USB</acronym> flash
drive, or compact flash drive, <span>Kubuntu</span> automatically recognizes the media,
displays a notification that it has recognized the media, and allows for an
action to be selected depending on the type of media it is. For instance,
inserting a <acronym class="acronym">CD</acronym> or <acronym class="acronym">DVD</acronym> would allow for it
to be mounted, opened with <span class="application">K3b</span> for burning if it is

<acronym class="acronym">CD</acronym>, or opened with <span class="application">Dragon Player</span>

<span class="mousebutton">click</span> the media icon to the left of the media that
