<span>Kubuntu</span> ships with the <span class="application">Microblogging Plasma Widget</span>
which supports both Twitter and Identi.ca which is enabled by default. If you
have removed this widget and would like to add the desktop widget back,
simply <span class="mousebutton">right</span> click on the desktop, and select
<span xmlns:doc="http://nwalsh.com/xsl/documentation/1.0" class="guiitem"><span class="guimenuitem">Add Widgets...</span></span>. Simply click and drag the
widget to the desktop and configure it for either Twitter or Identi.ca.

Another application that is available in the repositories is
<span class="application">Choqok</span>. <span class="application">Choqok</span> supports
both Twitter and Identi.ca as well, and sits in the system tray.
