There are often situations that require text to be pasted into the terminal.
</p><p>
Text copied from a web page using
<span class="keycap"><strong>Ctrl</strong></span>+<span class="keycap"><strong>C</strong></span> won't paste with
<span class="keycap"><strong>Ctrl</strong></span>+<span class="keycap"><strong>V</strong></span> as it does in
other applications, because the terminal uses the
<span class="keycap"><strong>Shift</strong></span>+<span class="keycap"><strong>Insert</strong></span>
combination. Pasting can also be done using the mouse by
<span class="mousebutton">right-clicking</span> in the terminal and selecting
<span xmlns:doc="http://nwalsh.com/xsl/documentation/1.0" class="guiitem"><span class="guimenuitem">Paste</span></span> from the menu.
</p><p>
Text can also be copied by selecting (highlighting) the text to be copied.
Clicking the <span class="mousebutton">middle</span> button on the mouse (or both
buttons simultaneously on a two-button mouse) in the terminal pastes the
selected text.
</p><div class="note" style="margin-left: 0.5in; margin-right: 0.5in;"><h3 class="title">Note</h3><p>
These actions may work differently in other terminal emulators than
<span class="application">Konsole</span>. Consult your terminal emulator's
documentation for details.
