Ah, so you don't read manuals either ;) You're not going to miss a lot, but it might help to know that:
<ul>
<li>Most things you do can be <a href="UnRedo.htm">Undone and Redone</a>.</li>
<li>You can not only browse into archives without opening them, but also open or amend files contained in them.</li>
<li>Just about everything is configurable, mainly from the <i>Options > Configure 4Pane</i> menu.</li>
<li>You can get context-sensitive help for most elements by pressing F1.</li>
