<p>This page lists useful default shortcuts and key mappings for CopyQ and
describes how to change them.</p>
<p>CopyQ is keyboard-friendly, i.e. it should be possible to quickly access
any functionality with keyboard without using mouse.</p>

<p class="last">On OS X, use ⌘ key instead of Ctrl for the shortcuts.</p>

<li>PgDown/PgUp, Home/End, Up/Down - item list navigation</li>
<li>Left, Right, Ctrl+Tab, Ctrl+Shift+Tab - tab navigation</li>
<li>Ctrl+T, Ctrl+W - create and remove tabs</li>
<li>Ctrl+Up, Ctrl+Down - move selected items</li>
<li>Ctrl+Left, Ctrl+Right - cycle through item formats</li>
<li>Esc - cancel search, hide window</li>
<li>Ctrl+Q - exit</li>
<li>F2 - edit selected items</li>
<li>Ctrl+E - edit items in an external editor</li>
<li>F5 - open action dialog for selected items</li>
<li>Delete - delete selected items</li>
<li>Ctrl+A - select all</li>
<li>Enter - put current item into clipboard and paste item (optional)</li>
<li>Ctrl+1…Ctrl+9 - focus a tab in given order</li>
<li>Ctrl+0 - focus last tab</li>

<p>Start typing a text to search items. This works in main application
window and <code class="docutils literal"><span class="pre">copyq</span> <span class="pre">menu</span></code>.</p>

<p>To change the shortcuts:</p>
<ul class="simple">
<li>open “File - Preferences”,</li>
<li>select “Shortcuts” tab,</li>
<li>click the button next to action you need to change,</li>
<li>press a shortcut on keyboard,</li>
<li>click OK to save the dialog.</li>

<p>If and action with shortcut is missing in the Shortcuts configuration
tab, you can use predefined ones:</p>

<li>open “File - Commands/Global Shortcuts…”,</li>
<li>click “Add” button,</li>
<li>select command (e.g. “Show/hide main window”),</li>
<li>press a shortcut on keyboard,</li>
<li>click OK to save the dialog.</li>
