  <title>General Settings</title>

  <p>Under <guiseq><gui>Edit</gui><gui>Preferences</gui>
  <gui>Calendar and Tasks</gui><gui>Reminders</gui></guiseq> you can select
  those calendars for which you want to receive reminder notifications. If you
  do not select a calendar, you will not receive reminders for any events in
  this calendar. You can also define whether to show a reminder for every
  appointment and for every birthday and anniversary.</p>

  <title>Manual Reminders</title>

  <p>Apart from the general settings you can also set up reminders in the
  appointment editor for certain appointments only:</p>

  <steps>
    <item>
      <p>Click <guiseq><gui>Options</gui><gui>Reminders</gui></guiseq> or press
      the Reminder button in the toolbar.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>From the dropdown menu, choose either one of the available default
      options when to show a notification reminder, or choose
      <gui>Customize</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>In case of <gui>Customize</gui>, the reminder can be a popup, a sound
      played, or a program ran. You can also define whether the reminder should
      be repeated.</p>
