<p>Amazon EC2 is a cloud-computing platform that lets users rent out computing resources by the hour. the EC2 task controller reserves and creates EC2 instances, creates a IPython1 cluster on them, updates their installed version of pebl from svn, runs pebl tasks on them and finally terminates the instances when finished.</p>
<p>Users need to provide authentication credentials when using EC2. For that reason, EC2-authentication related configuration parameters are defined in a different file and the name of that file is used as the value for ec2.config parameter.</p>
